Privacy Policy

Please review the following for information on dealing with your privacy issue. The aim of this Privacy Policy is to disclose what services we provide, how the information you store at DICOM Library may be used, and how such information is both protected and made available on our Website.

The DICOM Library software intended for anonymization, sharing and viewing of DICOM files online complies with the requirements of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.

This Privacy Policy may change from time to time, so you should check the page regularly. DICOM Library is bound to keep this Privacy Policy legally effective regarding all anonymity, upload and download, view, process activities of all users.

I. DICOM data Privacy

The most important part for the DICOM files is the privacy of data and other information, which may be stored within the DICOM file. Users shall be completely responsible for their own Content and the consequences of submitting and publishing their Content on the Service. DICOM Library anonymity service helps users to make anonymous such data as Patient, Institution, Physicians and other Private information that may be stored within the DICOM file. Anonymization process is made in the client side, so DICOM Library servers do not receive this private information. However, private information may be stored in other Tags and/or in the Image and Video content of the DICOM file. For more information about Tags' anonymity, please read our Terms of Service.

II. Uploading Privacy

DICOM Library stores all data, which is uploaded by the user. Without a legal basis, no information shall be given to the third parties. DICOM Library can manage and control user's uploaded data to ensure security and prevent from illegal activities.

With every upload the following data is stored in addition to the actual file: time of the upload.

Nobody can access your files without knowledge of the complete "Download" or "View" hyperlink. Of course, third parties can get these files using illegal activities or by using possible system issues. Therefore, DICOM Library tries to do the best to make DICOM Library as secure as possible. As long as you do not share the "Download" link, your files will neither be downloaded, nor viewed by anyone.

III. Downloading Privacy

Users can share the "Download" links of their uploaded files on their own responsibility.

If, during the file download, the user finds any anonymity issue (e.g. finds any private information), s/he must immediately contact our Data Protection Office dpo@dicomlibrary.com. So we could prevent private information distribution.

IV. Viewing Privacy

Users can share the "View" links to their files on their own responsibility. With every View of DICOM file the following data is stored in addition to the actual file: Count of Views

If, during the view of the file, the user finds any anonymity issue (for example, finds any private information), s/he must immediately contact our Data Protection Office dpo@dicomlibrary.com. Then we will be able to prevent private information distribution.

V. Third Party Web Sites

The DICOM Library website may contain links to websites and services that are maintained by third parties. These sites may have privacy and security policies that are different from ours. DICOM Library has no control over these sites and is not responsible or liable for the policies and practices followed by these third parties.
